I hope that all is well with you and yours.

Today’s topic can be a very touchy subject for many, especially women, i believe.

Yes, talking about body weight, which goes most time together with body image and a lot of time with self-esteem, is a very delicate subject.

I feel the topic is somewhat more touchy among women because many women go through different phases in their lives, do not get me wrong many men do as well. But for some reason, in most societies, attention is predominantly focused on women’s body image or weight, or physical appearance, more so than it is on men’s body image or weight.  

Many say” It is because most men are more visual human beings” compared to women.

Oh well, whatever it is, the fact is: 

-Initially, the young woman is this beautiful fresh flower; “this is how young women are described where I come from” and usually with a body type or a physical appearance that goes with that phase of life as well. I am talking in general, there are always exceptions.

-Then the young fresh, beautiful flower blossoms, and the young woman becomes a woman, for many women, that phase of life comes with pregnancy.

Most women during pregnancy face a lot of changes in their body, not only do changes happen internally( organs shift slightly, hormones change, etc) but the changes also happen externally ( weight gain for many, protruding stomach, etc) physical changes that are most of the time noticeable by all, especially during the third trimester or the end of the pregnancy. ” yes women are the ones that get to showcase to the whole world the result of what happened in private, just for a season of her life”. I know ladies, it is ok, it is temporary, it is only for a season and it is worthed.

 Many women lose the weight accumulated during pregnancy, many lose some, and many do not lose much.

 Also with that phase of life for the young woman, comes changes in the chest area for example as a result of the production of breast milk and breastfeeding for the women who choose to do so. 

Many other changes happen during and after pregnancy and do not totally get back to how the organ was initially, some women have to have an episiotomy or some have a vaginal tear during delivery for example during their delivery and have to get sutures, and many women get stretch marks that do not get to completely go away even years after delivery; some say: ” they are all compare to like battle wounds”, or they are scars or the ways or souvenirs of what your amazing body remember that you have achieved. 

So women even though they say men are visual human beings and many societies focus primarily on the look of women; love and embrace your body, because you are beautiful. Make the changes you feel comfortable making to your body, phenomenal women because it is what you truly desire not because you are trying to meet anybody’s expectation. I agree with this saying, maybe you are familiar with which state that ” Another human being can not make another human being completely happy, happiness is a personal choice”. With that said, changing your body to please somebody does not work, making changes for you first, so you value yourself, love yourself then share that love with the rest of the world works better. 

However i have to mention that weight gain or weight loss can happen at any stage of life, to men like to women regardless of the events in their life and regardless of their age, and has a lot more to do with genetics sometimes.

 Where I am originally from, they like to say, ok where i am from, the education is a whole lot verbal or oral, a lot of talking and storytelling, especially amongst women, but you know what men there talk too. 

So i was saying where i am originally from, they like to say “Men have it hard when they are boys trying to become accomplished men in society, women have it easier when they are young or young flower but then have it the hardest later on as women: trying to be mom, wife, daughter, sister, career women, etcโ€ 

 I kind of agree with that statement for most men and women in society in general, please do remember that โ€œthere are always exceptions to every ruleโ€.

ย As I am thinking about it, I would rather have it hard at the beginning and slowly progress and become and remain comfortable in general than have it all nice and rose and easy at the beginning and continue or finish with hardship or challenges, like it is the case for many women. But hey like they sayโ€ You get what you get and you can not get upsetโ€.ย ย 

But guess what ladies, there is hope, there are many men out there ” for the women that surround themself well and marry the right accomplished man or the right stable man in society, the end of the journey after all the struggle of childbearing, raising children, be a wife, be a friend, a career woman, etc all ends like a walk in the park or “apotheosis”. Amazing right, i guess it is something to look forward to especially when it gets tough sometimes.

Yes, being a phenomenal woman is not easy at all, it takes most time balancing being a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a working woman, etc. all at the same time twenty-four hrs of a day or nonstop if you prefer and it is challenging. 

Young beautiful fresh flowers out there please enjoy being young in the best positive possible ways of course. 

Being a woman is a beautiful thing, might not be easy but it is so rewarding, so rewarding to the point that it all becomes all worthed.

Oh where was i , oh yeah I was saying the subject of weight is touchy for most of us.

 Many complain of being too thin and will

like to gain some weight or put on some weight, many are happy with their weight and the way they look and feel, but a lot more are constantly complaining about their weight being too high, and with that most times are not happy about the way they look or feel and many are not happy about their weight at all to the point that it is affecting seriously and considerably their self-esteem and the way they feel about themselves.

Today I would like to share some natural, not expensive, and harmless health tips that have been recommended and have worked over the years and are still very much recommended and helpful, that anybody can try at any time to help with their weight loss journey, thus considerably improving their self-esteem and well-being long term.

  1. Exercise, yes the good old just exercise. 

There are many ways out there to lose weight, from medications( pills, injections), to surgical procedures, to diet, etc.

 All are available depending on how aggressive and safe you and your provider feel about your weight loss journey. 

Remember when bariatric surgery was common do not get me wrong it is still an indicated surgical procedure for weight loss treatment in case of morbid obesity; liposuction procedure was also very popular at one point (i have to mention here that i know of few people that had a very hard time or severe to life-threatening events and even death after liposuction procedures, very sad right, may they continue to rest in peace). Nowadays, medications specifically injections to lose a lot of weight, very fast are what is very popular, ( i have to mention that i heard the aggressive weight loss achieved in such a short amount of time is a lot of muscle weight loss than fat weight loss, which will worry me some personally long term). But again, discuss the best regimen for you with your provider.

Regular exercise, even minimal exercise, even for a short period, has been recommended over and over for many generations as a good way to help lose some weight gradually and long term as well as keeping healthy in addition and helping you feel good about yourself.ย 

 Please exercise with caution, if you are not used to exercising please seek the help of a professional to help you get started. Make sure that you are cleared to exercise by your provider or doctor.

 I am saying that because some exercise regimens are more intense than others and are not for everybody.

ย There are many ways of exercising out there, different exercising programs designed appropriately depending on the capacity of each person, and more importantly than anything else listen to your body if it is too much or you can not do it or it hurts, do not do it find another way of exercising that you tolerate.ย 

If you are not sure of what you can do or tolerate as exercise,

if you are considering starting an exercise program or regimen and you never exercised in the past, please talk to your provider or doctor. 

You can also have the help of professional trainers, and gyms you can find professionals who can help you safely get started and guide you. 

It has been proven by many valuable types of research over the years , over generations, that; Constant Regular Exercise helps a lot with weight loss promoting well-being and feeling well, and considerably helping with self-esteem and self-worth.

The next health tip that has been recommended to help naturally and progressively in helping to lose some weight is of course paying close attention to one’s diet. 

For some like my spouse, weight loss is a mathematical equation: “Eat, but make sure you burn more calories than you ingest in a day, and you will lose weight”.ย 

 This way of seeing things goes well with the principle of paying attention to your portion. This is something many commonly praised Europeans for, the close attention to the amount or portion or quantity of food that is ingested at each meal.

 And as you stay active during the day, if you burn more calories than you have ingested at the end you will lose weight. 

In order to reduce the size or portions of food some people even have kitchen-adapted scales to weigh the amount or quantity of food ingested at a meal. That is kind of strict but some people are very disciplined.

In order to help reduce the amount of food ingested during a meal; Grandma Old Tales recommends that ” you can drink a glass of water before you eat your food “. It helps and it works, the glass of water helps feel you up so you will eat slightly less than you will have had on an empty stomach.

Another Grandma Old Tales health tip is to: “as much as possible eat a green apple or even half of the green apple before a meal to help fill you up so you do not eat a large portion of food during your meal.” It works.

 I am not sure why a green apple though, as opposed to other types of apples. But i have read somewhere that ” Green apple is associated with always looking forward”. I know it is a random statement that does not explain why the green apple is used as opposed to the red or yellow apple for example. 

I wanted to say i think that you might get a similar effect with eating an apple or even half of the apple in general before your meal, regardless of if it is a green apple or not. But the advice or recommendation is for a green apple before the meal. So if you can, go with the green apple as much as possible, and if you do not have the green apple handy use the apple that you have.

3)Another health tip that has been recommended to help naturally and progressively lose some weight is paying close attention to one’s diet in terms of considerably limiting or reducing the intake of carbohydrates and sugar.  

I think most of us have heard this health advice or tip on helping to lose weight on many occasions, countless times.

  It can also be a challenging health advice to follow; imagine a case when you have a sweet tooth for example but also another factor not negligible is finance, to be able to purchase when needed certain food. 

Sometimes you may have a tight budget and can not for example afford to buy almonds but you can afford to buy pasta for example. Do the best you can.

The people who are very successful with this health advice are even as strict as paying attention to the amount of sugar ingested through natural fruits like pineapple, mangoes, or watermelon or reducing the sugar intake from vegetables like carrots. I know right, it takes discipline. 

Many stated that after a while it becomes a way of life, you do not crave that soda anymore for example and you can even find yourself having one or two sodas in a whole year. But again it is not easy and it takes discipline. 

If you have questions or need to find out more about what food to eat that is low in carbohydrates and sugar, yes there is doctor Google but also there are trained professionals, dieticians, or even your primary care physician who are qualified to help you with any questions you might have regarding your diet and food intake.

So usually with this health advice to reduce the intake of carbohydrates and sugar, it is recommended to mainly consume mostly more proteins, vegetables, and fruits low in sugar.

4) The last health tip that has been recommended to help naturally and progressively lose some weight that i would like to share with you today is just the plain simple advice of following or being on a diet. 

There are many types of diet out there, you can find the one that works for you, that is safe short and long term, that will help you lose weight short term and maintain the weight lost in the long term, that is within your budget and within the limit of what you are comfortable doing and can tolerate. 

The safe recommendation of your surroundings who care and love you and who have tried something safe that has worked for them sometimes helps, just like a dietician or even your primary care physician can also help you with finding the right diet for you. 

The thing with starting and staying on a diet is discipline; it is not always easy to respect what to eat and when to eat it, and also for many, sometimes it might be costly depending on your budget. Here too like with exercising listen to your body, and do not keep on something that is not working for you, for example, you are on a diet and you feel weak or dizzy most times. If it does not feel good or does not work just stop it.

To conclude the combination of exercising and paying attention to your diet to lose weight works, it is not the easiest way, it might take time and require consistency but it has been proven over the years to work to help lose weight for a longer period and make you feel better as well.

 There are many weight loss options out there that are quick and will appear easy but they also do not last, the weight is quickly lost and not too long after stopping the weight loss option, the weight comes right back on, and sometimes the side effects are not pleasant. 

 Paying attention to what you eat and exercising helps you lose weight long term and the weight stays off longer. So do your search, as well as discuss your specific situation with your provider, and choose the best option available for you if you are trying to lose weight.

I would like to end by stating that I do believe it was not intended for us to all look similar or all look skinny or all look bigger, all be short or tall, or all be average height, etc. 

We are all unique, we should do the best we can, it is not always easy, to try to love ourselves just the way we are.  

There is nothing wrong with taking care of ourselves and taking care of the way we look, or working on improving the way we look so that we can feel good about ourselves, nothing wrong with that and most importantly there is nothing wrong with seeking help or treatment when we are not well or are sick to feel better. For some losing weight is such a critical health issue. But there is also power in embracing who we are just the way we are as long as we are healthy.

They say โ€œYou get what you get and you can not get upsetโ€ It is true just like it is true I think that โ€œ no one should wish to be somebody elseโ€ never really, just wish to love oneself more and better.

Le sujet d aujourdโ€™hui est un peu dรฉlicat surtout pour les dames je pense.

Oui je pense que parler du poids , qui est aussi associรฉ beaucoup de fois avec l image de soit et esteem de soit peu effectivement รชtre un sujet trรจs dรฉlicat.

Le sujet est un peu plus dรฉlicat chez les femmes ou les dames je pense parceque la femme gรฉnรฉralement subit des changements selon les รฉtapes de sa vie, les hommes aussi subissent des changements selon les รฉtapes de leur vies. Cependant , dans la plupart des sociรฉtรฉs l attention est plus focalisรฉe sur le

poids ou le physique de la femme que sur e poids ou le physique des hommes.

Pour beaucoup la raison est que โ€œ les hommes sont des รชtre humains visuelsโ€ beaucoup plus visuel comparer aux femmes.

Peu importe la rรฉalitรฉ est que : 

-initialement la jeune fille est cette jolie floeur โ€œc est ainsi qu est dรฉcrit la jeune fille d ou je viens , une jolie floeur ou belle floeurโ€ et avec cette phase de sa vie a aussi un certain physique ou un certain corps , je parle de maniรจre gรฉnรฉrale il y a toujours des exceptions. 

-Ensuite, la jolie fleur fleurit ou sโ€™รฉpanouit en la jolie jeune femme, et avec cette phase de la vie de la femme, gรฉnรฉralement viennent aussi les accouchements .

Il yโ€™a beaucoup de changements qui se passent pendant et aprรจs la grossesse qui ne retournent pas complรจtement ร  l รฉtat initial de l organe. Certaines femmes doivent avoir une episiotomy par example ou certaines ont des dรฉchirures du vagin par example pendant l accouchement et reรงoivent des soutures. Beaucoup de femmes developent des vergetures qui ne disparaissent pas complรจtement mรชme plusieurs annรฉes aprรจs l accouchement. Certaines appellent tout cela โ€œ les blessures de batailleโ€ou encore les cicatrices ou des souvenirs que votre corps se rapelle de ce que vous avez accompli.

D ou je suis originaire , on aime dire . Ok je sais d ou je suis originaire l รฉducation est trรจs verbal ou oral , beaucoup de bavardages , adages et histoires racontรฉes surtout parmis les femmes mais ne vous trompez pas les hommes bavardent aussi .

Donc je disais d ou je suis originaire ils aiment dire โ€œ que la difficultรฉs d รชtre homme est quand le jeune garรงon essaille de s รฉtablir dans la sociรฉtรฉ mais une fois รฉtabli c est plus facile pour lui alors que la jeune fille a la vie un peu plus facile quand est plus jeune et les difficultรฉs commencent quand elle devient une femmeโ€

Je suis d accord en gรฉnรฉral avec cette maniรจre de concevoir les choses pour les hommes et les femmes dans la sociรฉtรฉ en gรฉnรฉral โ€œ il y a toujours des execeptions ร  toute rรจgle โ€œ.

Personnellement je prรฉfรฉrai avoir des difficultรฉs au dรฉpart et progresse comparรฉ ร  commencรฉ en douceur et finir avec plus de difficultรฉs ou challenges comme c est le cas pour beaucoup de femmes . On dit bien โ€œ que sera sera , ce qui est estโ€.

Je trouve que c est super et c est motivant surtout pendant les pรฉriodes difficiles.

Pour certain perdre du poids est une nรฉcessitรฉ mรฉdicale . Mais en gรฉnรฉral, on devrait faire des efforts, mรชme si ce n’est pas facile parfois de s’aimer tel qu’on est sans envier personne.
